Oct 14 - Oct 15, 2022

Washington University in St. Louis, Knight Center

The FTG Fall 2022 Meeting will be held in the Knight Center at Washington University in Saint Louis on October 14-15, 2022. The meeting will be held in-person only, subject to any unforeseen circumstances. The meeting is organized by Jason Donaldson, Brett Green, Mina Lee, and Linda Schilling and is sponsored by the Wells Fargo Advisors Center for Finance and Accounting Research (WFA-CFAR) and the Center for Research in Economics and Strategy (CRES) at the Olin Business School.

We plan to host a reception on the evening of October 14 starting around 6pm followed by the traditional small group dinners. The regular meeting will take place on October 15. The meeting will adjourn no later than 4pm on October 15.

The deadline for paper submission and conference registration is August 15, 2022. The program and a detailed schedule for the meeting will be announced by September 8, 2022.

We have reserved a block of 55 rooms at the Charles F. Knight Center. If booking a room by phone, please let the hotel staff know that you want to make a reservation in the “Finance Theory Group” block. If booking online, you can use this link to book a room in the block or use the Group Attendee Code 101522FTG.

In case the block fills up and there are no more rooms available at the Knight Center, below are some other recommended hotels  (rates below are not guaranteed).

  • Clayton Plaza Hotel ($133)
  • Doubletree by Hilton St. Louis Forest Park ($181)
  • Le Meridien ($258)
  • Seven Gables Inn ($254)
  • The Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta St. Louis ($292)

Flying into St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) is the easiest way to get to the conference. The airport is about a 15-minute drive from campus. While direct flights to STL used to be abundant, they are scarcer in the aftermath of the pandemic. If you plan on attending the conference, you should probably try to book your ticket as early as possible. Also, be sure to check routes from Southwest (in addition to the legacy carriers) as they are the only carrier offering non-stop flights from certain destination.
