2024 Best Job Market Papers in Finance Theory

Congratulations to the two winners of our annual prize for the best job market paper in finance theory:

First Prize: Xiaobo Yu, graduating from Columbia Business School, for the paper "A General Theory of Holdouts" 

Runner-up: Patrick Blonien, graduating from Rice University’s Jones GSB, for the paper “Size Discovery in Slow Markets"

Xiaobo will join University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business and Patrick will join Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. They have both been invited to join the FTG and have accepted. We look forward to seeing them at future FTG meetings.
